Hanson College is proud to join with women across the world to celebrate International Women’s Day and its 2024 theme, #inspireinclusion. Inclusion is something we live at Hanson every single day. We welcome and support female students from around the world who choose a Hanson College education as a step toward a life of opportunity and fulfillment here in Canada.
“The effort to make an inclusive environment for women and for equality is a collective one,” explains Jennifer Bell, Manager of Academic Advancement at our Brampton campus. At Hanson, we recognize and celebrate the ongoing journey of our female students today and everyday as they endeavour to create a better life for themselves and their families, and we provide support and motivation as they navigate their education toward their career paths and persevere amidst life’s challenges. Hanson student, Grace says “As a Hanson student, I feel empowered as a woman to pursue my dreams and I’d like to encourage all women out there to keep breaking barriers and keep inspiring others”.
While events celebrating IWD2024 will be held at both our Brampton and Toronto campuses, we support and guide our students daily by blending our unique learning experience with on- and off-campus events, work-study programs, counselling services, career resources, and mentorship from female senior leaders. And just as we support and celebrate our students, we also ensure that our female leaders are in positions that inspire our students daily and demonstrate a collaborative, inclusive spirit of embracing diversity.
“At Hanson, we empower women who lead, inspire, and challenge,” says Hadeep Kaur, a female leader herself as Vice-President of Enrollment and Admissions for Hanson College. “We celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women around the world.” Kaur adds that women are making a difference around the world. “Your contributions are invaluable, and your voices matter.”
